Following the successful conclusion of the Young & Safe Project Bootcamp, Tanyigbe Senior High School students have taken a bold step towards sustaining the lessons learned by launching the Young & Safe Club.
The club was officially launched on Saturday – Day Three of the bootcamp, immediately after a crucial session on Cyber Hygiene led by Mr. Saviour Kwame Agbeve from GIFEC.During the session,
He emphasized the importance of strong passwords, data backup, and device security. He also cautioned against click on suspicious web links, highlighting the potential risks of malware and phishing attempts.

The students were also introduced to Ghana’s digital safety laws, including the Electronic Transactions Act, Data Protection Act, Electronic Communications Act, and Cybersecurity Act.
The bootcamp was a three-day intensive training that equipped participants with critical knowledge on sexual and reproductive health rights, mental well-being, and cyber safety.
The launch of the Young & Safe Club marked a significant milestone, with 30 pioneering students committing to champion youth safety, awareness, and empowerment.
Participants shared their impressions, expressing gratitude for the knowledge gained. One student remarked, “This experience has been eye-opening,” while another added, “I feel more confident making responsible decisions.”
Club members expressed their commitment to fostering a culture of safety, support, and informed decision-making among their peers.
“This is not just a club—it’s a movement that empowers us to lead and inspire real change,” one participant noted.


With a structured plan for engagement and collaboration with community stakeholders, the Young & Safe Club is expected to play a vital role in strengthening youth resilience and knowledge on key social issues, setting a precedent for other schools to follow.
