The Volta Region of Ghana is set to host the rest of the country for the 66th independence anniversary celebration on Monday, 6th March, 2023. The event will take place at the newly constructed Regional Youth Resource Center in Adaklu-Tsrefe.
Security agencies, school contingents and cultural troupes have been conducting dress rehearsals in preparation for the event, which will have thousands of local and foreign dignitaries in attendance, including President Akufo-Addo.
Aside the main event, several side activities, including entertainment and funfairs, are expected to engulf the regional capital, Ho. They include music concert at the Ho stadium, trip to tourist sites, among others.

The hospitality sector is also positioning itself to cash-in on the occasion, as hotels in and around the regional capital have been fully booked by holiday makers and revelers who are expected to flood the area for the celebration.
According to the local organizing committee, they are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a successful and memorable celebration, while also market the region’s diverse tourism and hospitality potential to the rest of the world.
