The Abor District police has launched a manhunt for the suspected killers of a corn miller, whose decomposing body was found in the area.
According to the police, they had a report last Monday, March 21, about the body of the man, identified as Korku Gbago, aged 60, which was found dead along the Avenorpeme-Hatorgodo Road near Abor, in the Keta Municipality.
Their visit to the scene, saw the lifeless body, almost in a decomposing state, lying on its back, with a bicycle parked about 5 metres away from him.
An inspection on the body revealed one of his fingers chopped off, with a deep cut at the back of his head (occiput area).
The body was conveyed to the Sacred Heart Hospital Weme-Abor morgue for preservation pending autopsy, after a re-construction of scene by the police.
As a result, the police command has appealed to the general public to volunteer relevant information that would establish circumstances surrounding the death and possibly lead to the arrested of the unknown perpetrators, as investigations continue.
