Mr. Atitsogbui Kingsley has taken a legal action against his former media organization, Kekeli Radio in Ho, over a claim of non-payment of salary arrears and unlawful termination of appointment
In the copy of writ of summon sighted by voltaonlinegh.com, the plaintiff Atitsogbui Kingsley prayed the Ho District Magistrate Court for an order of payment of an amount of GHc11,200.00 being arrears of salary owed him by the Defendant (Kekeli Radio) with effect from 2016.
He is also demanding an interest on the amount, an order for the payment of adequate compensation for the unlawful termination of appointment of him by the media organisation, cost and any other relief that the court deems fit and appropriate.
In a summary of subject matter of claim, Mr. Atitsogbui stated that, he was employed by Kekeli Radio on February 1, 2016 as a News Reporter and a Presenter per his appointment letter which he discharged duties efficiently and effectively until he was issued with a letter terminating his appointment with effect from December 12, 2019.
He said, the Defendant (Kekeli Radio) had earlier on made them to re-apply and he did so and re-applied for same positions but he was not given any notice before the termination of his appointment neither was he compensated for the termination of his appointment by the defendant.
Meanwhile he explained that, the matter was reported to both CHRAJ and the Legal Aid Commissions respectively in Ho for amicable and peaceful settlement, but the Defendant (Kekeli Radio) proved unco-operative hence the necessity for the case to be sent to court
