DJ Ricky Augustine has beaten competitions from DJ Karanja, DJ Barma, DJ Teller, DJ Cyril, DJ Cantonna and Dr J to win the Best DJ – Volta Region at the just ended 2018 Ghana DJ Awards.
The 6th edition of the prestigious award scheme, Ghana DJ Awards took place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The award scheme seeks to awards all disc jockeys across the 10 Regions of Ghana for contributing their quota to promoting local Ghanaian music.
DJ Cantonna despite losing the competition congratulated DJ Ricky Augustine for winning the award for the region.
At the national level, the event had DJ Vyrusky crowned as the Overall DJ of the year to the delight of the patrons who thronged the venue to witness this year’s awards.

Life Achievement Award of the year recipient – Mark Okraku Mantey
Best International DJ of the year – Cuppy Music
DJ/Artiste Collaboration of the year – DJ Vyrusky (Adwenfi ft Kuami Eugene and Shatta Wale)
Record Promoter of the year – DJ Vyrusky
Best Female DJ of the year – DJ Nyce
Gospel DJ of the year – Papa Bills
Best Campus DJ of the year – iPhone DJ
Best Nightclub DJ of the year – Vision DJ
Scratch DJ of the year – DJ Mpesempese
Best Event DJ of the year – DJ Mic Smith
Artiste DJ of the year– DJ Shiwaawa
