Mr. Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has emerged victorious in the Ho Central constituency parliamentary elections, securing an impressive 88.80% of the total votes cast.
The NDC candidate polled 62,325 votes, far outpacing his closest competitor, Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Divine Bosson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who garnered 5,737 votes, representing 8.17%.
The elections, which took place across 257 polling stations in the constituency, were characterized by peace and order, with no major incidents reported. A total of 70,733 voters cast their ballots out of the 112,361 eligible voters in the constituency.
In his victory speech, the MP-Elect expressed his gratitude to the constituents for their overwhelming endorsement, pledging to continue the developmental agenda and forward movement of the constituency.
Outgoing Member of Parliament, Mr. Benjamin Komla Kpodo congratulated Kpotosu on his victory and assured him of his full support to propel the progress of the constituency to greater heights.
Prior to the official declaration, the Independent Candidate in the elections, Mr. Mawulorm Klutse conceded defeat and congratulated the MP-Elect.
