A group calling itself Volta Region NPP Resource Group has disassociated themselves from Demonstration carried out last Wednesday concerning the re-appointment of Dr. Archibald Yao Lesta as Volta Regional Minister.
The group, in a press conference held in the Regional Capital, Ho, described the actions of the Volta Regional Executive of the party led by the Regional Chairman, Makafui Kofi Woanya, as an act of misconduct which might create discord and factionalism within the party.
The action of the demonstrators according to the group is a blatant disregard to the grievance procedure of the party adding that, the they also disrespected the high office of the president and his advisers who approved the re-nomination of Dr. Letsa.
They said, their actions are dangerous and intimidating conduct against another member, a breach of conduct to uphold publicly party policies and an action which brought the name of the party to ridicule and disrepute.
The Volta Region NPP Resource group urge the public to disregard those Demonstrating because their actions does not represent the views of the entire membership of the NPP in the region.
The group further advise the demonstrators to use the right party procedures to to register there grievance.
