Members of the Agotime-Ziope District Assembly on Tuesday gave a unanimous endorsement to Mr. John Kweku Amenya as the new District Chief Executive for the area.
The retired educationist garnered a 100 per cent vote of the 22-member assembly at its special sitting at Kpetoe, the district capital.
Mr. Amenya was immediately sworn into office by His Worship Samuel Essel-Walker, a Magistrate Court Judge to replaced Mr. Dickson David Dzorkpe, whose appointment was revoked by the President a fortnight ago.
The Volta Regional minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa who was present with his deputy, Rev. Johnson Avuletey stressed the need for all stakeholders continue to work in harmony devoid of political conflicts.
Also present at ceremony was the Regional Chairman of the governing NPP, Mr. Makafui Kofi Woanya as well as other government functionaries, including MMDCEs from adjourning assemblies.
