Head trainer of the Fiave Evangelical Presbyterian, Isaac Vormehor has vowed to clinch victories in their matches for the week 3 of the Volta Cricket League.

The league which is being played at the Ho Sports Stadium enters week 3 on Saturday, February 2, 2019 with Fiave EP locking horns with Housing in both boys and girls category.

Fiave EP, who are yet to taste victory following their double lose to Anglican in week 1 of Ghana’s only regional schools’ league have been training with the expertise of other coaches, focusing on victories come Saturday.

Speaking to TalksenseSports, Isaac believes victory is so assured because they have prepared well and ready for anything.

“When we lost both matches in week one, I wasn’t happy, so I sought the help of some coaches and we have since been training. We are prepared for anything at all even though we don’t know the strength of Housing (one of the teams). We will surely win tomorrow in both divisions.”

Housing, on the other hand will be playing their first match since the league began on January 19.

They will not be pushed over as trainer, Shadrach Abotsikuma had involved the services of the regional Coach in giving them final touches before Saturday.

The day will also see Ho Kpodzi Basic, coming face to face with Anglican Basic. Anglican, are yet to lose a match in either division after enjoying a double over Fiave EP in week 1, whereas  Ho Kpodzi only had victory in the girls category against Methodist, also in week 1.

The U-12 league which is sponsored by the Ghana Cricket Association is aimed at keeping the sport alive in the region and grooming prospective young talents for regional and national teams.
