It was an exciting week for Volta players. Player performances have been incredibly high over the weekend with new feat being chalked by few of them. As a Writer/Spots Journalist from the region, I seek to follow, monitor and expose their exploits to the world. This week, our featured players are Bright Hadzor, Prosper Atsu Avor and Prosper Dayegbe Ahiabu.
Bright Hadzor is a goalkeeper currently with Division One Side Wa Suntaa Soccer Club in Wa. The short stopper has caved a name for himself after an impressive debut season with the Division One campaigners. He is on loan from Akosombo Krystal Palace and managed to keep clean sheets in all games that he kept the post. He currently runs at 6 matches with 6 clean sheets and so far, the best consecutive run of a goalkeeper from the region this season.
Prosper Atsu Avor is a home grown name who dominated the Ghana Premier League headlines while with Kpando Heart of Lions. The right back started his playing career with Kpando Togorme Super Rangers before joining Kpando Hearts of Lions. The stalwart defender moved to Liberty Professionals to enjoy more premier league actions after Lions got relegated from the premier league. Avor has been an integral part of Liberty’s campaign this season featuring in all matches.
Prosper Dayegbe Ahiabu is a holding midfielder for Sogakofe-based West Africa Football Academy (WAFA). The box to box midfielder was brought in to fill the shoes of Gideon Waja who departed the club and it appears that decision has really fetched marks. Prosper missed just one match for the Academy Boys this season due to accumulated yellow cards. His midfield dominance rewarded him a call up to the national U20 team who played a 0-0 drawn game with Algeria over the weekend of which he was a starter in that game. He is a talent to watch out for.

Former Dreams FC Midfielder Manuel Eli Keke is doing very well in Europe as he continues to enjoy full action for Olafsvik in their 1-1 away drawn game at Kopavogur.

He hails from Sokpoe and commands an enviable record among the regional keepers. He featured and lasted 90 minutes in their 0-0 away game to Paga Crocodiles FC. The clean sheet means he is yet to concede in 6 matches he played for his team. 6 games 6 clean sheets.
Left winger Julius Anani aka Messi stared for Proud United in their goal sprinkling over Achiken FC. The midfielder provided 3 assist in the game ensuring the victory was emphatic. Asare Saviour who was introduced on the 50th minutes, played a holding midfield role and also assisted the 5th goal for proud united. Both Former Ho Hunters FC players are enjoying their game in Zone One.
Not a palatable story for the contingents that started for Kpando Heart of Lions in their 1-0 away lost to Accra Young Wise FC. Massawudu Inusah was in the post and played full interval as Danbort FC inflicted a painful 1-0 win over Akosombo Krystal Palace FC. Massawudu was a former player of Kwamekrom De Youngsters FC.
Sensational Striker Richard Dzikoe started the game for Kotoku Royals, lasted the entire duration and scored a goal to give Kotoku Royals a 1-0 win over Vision FC. This brings his goal tally to 7.
