District Chief Executive for Ho West in the Volta Region, Ernest Victor Apau has donated an amount of Gh¢3,000 to his former school, Kpedze Senior High School (KPESCO).
The donation was his contribution to support developmental projects in the school being championed by the old students association.
Mr. Apau of the 1996 year batch made the donation during the inauguration of the reconstituted Management Board of the school.
Receiving the cash donation on behalf of the Association, the Chairman, Atsu Menyawovor Esq. thanked the DCE who was also the Chairman for the day for his support and asked that he should do more to address the developmental needs of the school.
“This gesture is great, we are very proud of you. It is our hope that you will use your influence to bring more to this school because God has put you there for a time like this.”
Mr. Apau in his remarks pledged his readiness to support development projects in the school and liaise with all stakeholders to make KPESCO one of the second cycle schools of choice in the region and across the country.
He charged the Management Board to deliver with excellence so as to make the dream of developing the school a reality.
Mr. Apau who went to Peki College of Education after KPESCO then to University of Ghana for his first and second degrees and until his appointment as DCE for Ho West was a Lecturer at Ghana Technology University, Ho Campus is one of the notable persons KPESCO has produced.
Other prominent past students of the school included Togbe Afede Asor II, predecessor of Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli, former Minister, Transport, Dzifa Attivor and a Justice of Supreme of Court of Ghana, Justice Jones Dotse.
