It was an electrifying week for Volta players. Player performances have been exceedingly great over the weekend with few making their debut for new clubs whiles others chalked new accomplishment.
As a Writer/Spots Journalist from the region, I seek to Follow, Monitor and Expose their exploits to the world. This week, our featured players are Michael Agbekpornu Aquah, Sylvester Smith Adjetey and Emmanuel Paga.
Michael Agbekpornu Aquah is a 20 year old defender who currently plays for Danbort Fc. He joined them from Ho Dynamo Fc where he was adjudged the player of the season. Aquah’s ability to play various positions on the field of play makes him a utility player. For those who come from Ho and follow the Senior High School Football in SPACO, will always remember him for his ability to hold firm onto the ball and dribble pass his opponents and aim for goal. Aquah is an embodiment of a complete player as he combines both left and right foot with same power, precision and accuracy. He is a talent emerging from the region. Remember this name.
Sylvester Smith Adjetey is a box to box midfielder. Adjetey as he is popularly called is a household name here in the regional capital Ho. His ability to take charge of the midfield draws my admiration with the nickname “The General”. Adjetey is 21 years old and already had a stint in the National Division One league with Ho Dynamo until his move to Danbort. He combines effectively with his partners in the midfield and very compulsive in his deliveries. If there is anyone to be seen in him then it’s either Andrea Pirlo or Andres Iniesta.
Both Aquah and Adjetey debuted for their new club Danbort Fc in the national division one league and lasted the entire 90 minutes. Danbort FC captured them to aid their campaign in ongoing National Division One League. They joined from former Division One side Ho Dynamo FC on an undisclosed fee. Meanwhile Massawudu Inusah was in the post and played full interval as Danbort FC inflicted a painful 1-0 win over Amidaus professional.
Emmanuel Paga is the real definition of a good striker in the making. The sensational teenage currently plays for Dallas Fc in the USA. He was a former player of Nadm Sc in Hohoe. His exploits were very much visible in the local league before his departure to the states. Emmanuel exploits and progression is a dream we must chase and see come true. He is just 18 years old.
