The Volta Regional Health Directorate has gotten a substantive Regional Director, more than a year after the retirement of the former director, Dr. Timothy Letsa.
Dr. Chrysantu Kubio, a Public Health Physician Specialist, assumed office a few weeks ago, following his appointment by the Ghana Health Service Council. He previously served as the Director of Health Services in the Savanna Region.
Before this appointment, the Deputy Director in charge of Public Health, Dr. Senanu Kwesi Djokoto, performed the role of Acting Regional Director of Health Services in the region.
The new director was introduced to the Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa on Thursday, 14th September 2023, by a delegation from the Regional Health Directorate led by Dr. Djokoto.
The minister welcomed the new Regional Director to the region and wished him all the best in the performance of his duties. He also assured him of the full support of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council in the performance of his duties to ensure that the health sector remains the best in the region.
On his part, Dr. Kubio expressed his willingness and eagerness to work in close collaboration with all key stakeholders to ensure the improvement of healthcare delivery in the region.
