Put into Practice What You Have Learnt-Ablakwa

Member of parliament (MP) for North Tongu in the Volta Region, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has called on some youth in his constituency to use the skills they have acquired to impact positively on their lives and that of others in their communities.

He made the call during a presentation of certificates to 52 young men and women who have undergone training in bee keeping and snail rearing on Sunday at Aveyime Battor.

Mr Ablakwa sponsored the 52 youth selected from all the six traditional areas within the North Tongu District to undergo bee keeping and snail rearing in Ho organised by Centre for Scientific and industrial Research (CSIR).

The intent was to help the vulnerable youth group in the constituency without the means to acquire skills to start off something on which to live on.

The MP assured the participants of his support if they put the opportunity they got into proper use to benefit themselves and others in the community. To him, all he needed to support the youth is a sign of seriousness trying to start something small based on the skills acquired.

“I will support them with capital so that they can really take off. I’m looking at creating more and more opportunities for our youth in the constituency and I find this partnership with CSIR very laudable and we’re going to continue to maintain our partnership so that we can empower our youth.”
