Students of the Ho Nursing Training College (NTC) are reportedly living in fear following series of attacks on them by criminals in the recent time.
The latest of such incidents occurred Tuesday dawn, when a first year female student, who was returning from studies was reportedly brutalized by some unidentified persons on her way to the hostel.
A source at the school told Voltaonlinegh.com that, the victim was attacked at about 1:30am and brutalized with blood oozing from her nostrils when she refused to hand over her bag to the criminals who demanded for it. She has since been taken to the Regional Hospital, where she is responding to treatment.
Some students who interacted with Voltaonlinegh.com disclosed that, the attacks have become rampant in recent times, which some have attributed to the restoration of their allowances.
“The attacks have worsened when we started receiving our allowances. This is about the fourth incident and now that our examination is due in few days, we are very scared of staying later in the classrooms to learn.” they narrated.
Management of the School is however said be working with the police to ensure safety of the students.
