The Volta Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Makafui Kofi Woanya, on Saturday led a powerful delegation of the party executives and government appointees to commiserate with the family of Glalah as they (family) mourned the passing of their beloved son, Edward Kwadzo Glalah.
The late Presbyter, Edward Kwadzo Glalah before his demise gave out his house for use as regional party secretariat.
Recounting his love for the party, the former Regional Chairman for the NPP, Mr. Kenwuud Nuworsu narrated how the late Mr. Glalah embraced the party in 1992 and gave out his house that had served as the party’s regional office till date.
The former Deputy Minister for Manpower under Kufuor administration, Mr. Nuworsu also eulogised the late benevolent Presbyter for his immense contribution to the party as the then government appointee at the Ho Municipal Assembly in the erstwhile President Kufuor administration.
The funeral ceremony which was well attended saw the presence of the immediate past Regional Chairman and now the Energy Minister, John Peter Amewu, Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, the Regional Secretary, Joseph Homenya, the Regional Women’s Organizer, Madam Afi Adzagbo, the Regional Communication Director, Enoch Amegbletor, Financial Secretary, Wisdom Gakpo, Ho Central Chairman, Richard Kwadekpo AS well as constituency executives across the length and breadth of the region.
Also present at the funeral were municipal and district chief executives.
An amount of GH₵10,000.00 and drinks were donated to the bereaved family and additional GH₵200.00 and drinks were presented as table collection in support of the fallen hero.
The Head of the Glalah-Adza family, Mr. Benoni Glalah, lauded the powerful delegation of the New Patriotic Party and Government for their show of solidarity and invaluable support.
