The Vice President of the Republic, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is expected in the Volta region today as he, kick-starts his Ramadan tour of the country.
Dr Bawumia during the one day visit will meet and interact with the Muslim community in parts of the region as they undertake their 30-day annual Ramadan fasting, which commenced last Thursday.
He is scheduled to make a first stop in the Ketu South municipality, where he will join in the afternoon Zuhr prayers at the Aflao central mosque, and later head to the regional capital, for the late afternoon Asr prayers at the Ho central mosque.
The Vice President will wrap up his tour at Hohoe, where he will join the Muslim community to break the day’s fast with the Maghrib prayers.
The Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa will lead the Dr. Bawumia and his entourage on the the tour.
