The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has praised Genius IT Brainery for its efforts in fostering tech innovation and youth empowerment during a surprise visit to the institution in Ho on on Monday.
He commended the institution’s focus on tech education and social impact, stating that initiatives like these are crucial in reducing unemployment and ensuring no one is left behind in the digital revolution.
He also emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to nurture Ghana’s tech talent, saying, “The youth are the backbone of our nation’s future. By supporting their ideas and providing resources, we unlock opportunities for sustainable growth.”

Genius IT Brainery CEO, Mr. Desmond Kitsi, expressed his gratitude for the Minister’s visit and support, stating that the institution aims to cultivate tech proficiency across all age groups and transform Volta into Africa’s next tech talent pool.
The minister also made an undisclosed cash donation to support the institution’s initiatives, which Mr. Kitsi described as “a testament to the government’s belief in grassroots innovation.”
The visit concluded with assurances to strengthen collaboration between the government and private sector.
