The Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Mr. Ken Kponor said, the NCCE has collaborated with the security services to reassure the public of their protection by the security services going into the election.
Speaking at a parade to end of the route march by the security services in the region, he also noted that, the operation is to demonstrate to those who may want to cause trouble before, during and after the election that the security personnel are ready to arrest and handle perpetrators under the laws of Ghana for a smooth and peaceful election.
He advised the public to go out on the Election Day to exercise their electoral right peacefully and return home to wait for the results on the radio, television or online.
He also added that those who wish to return to the polling station later in the day for the counting should ensure they do not do anything to destabilize the electoral process.
The route march by the Ghana security services in collaboration with the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) and the Electoral Commission (EC) was embarked across all the regional capitals in Ghana ahead of the 2020 general elections.
