Residents of Ho, the Volta Regional Capital, ushered in the year 2025 with solemn and joyful church services. On New Year’s Eve, December 31, various church venues were filled with congregants gathering to express gratitude for the past year and seek blessings for the new one.
At the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ho Bankoe, Rev. Fr. Isaac Benuyenah in his homily, urged the congregation to reflect on their past experiences, approach the new year with hope and optimism, and embrace faith, love, and unity in the face of life’s challenges.
He also encouraged the faithful to renew their commitment to Christian values and work towards building a more just and peaceful society.
As midnight struck on January 1, 2025, the atmosphere was electric with joy and excitement. Congregants expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for granting them another year, praying for a year filled with peace, prosperity, and progress for themselves and the nation.
