The DCE send the caution at a ceremony held in the North Dayi district to distribute relief items to thirty person’s living with disability in the district under the LEAP program.
He noted that some caretakers of PWDs benefited from government’s Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty program on behalf of their disabled relatives but has neglected them after receiving the relief items, leaving the PWDs poor and to suffer on their own.
He noted that, “when you neglect and allow a person with disability to suffer after receiving relief support on their behalf it is a curse and you will suffer for it so desist from such act and avoid the curse on your life”
He however lamented about the constant complains and reports from some beneficiaries whose caretakers neglect them after taking relief items on their behalf.
