The immediate past District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Tongu, Hon. Osborn K Divine Fenu, has reportedly passed away following a tragic road accident on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
According to reports, Hon. Fenu was returning to Accra after visiting his aged mother in his hometown in the constituency when the unfortunate incident occurred near the Central University enclave at Miotso, along the Tema-Aflao highway. He was rushed to the Tema General Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Hon. Fenu served under the erstwhile Akufo-Addo-led NPP administration from 2021 until January 2025. Prior to his appointment, he was a teacher with the Ghana Education Service, where he contributed to shaping young minds through dedicated service.
He was widely known for his calm and respectful disposition, particularly during the October 2023 Akosombo Dam spillage that displaced over 40,000 residents in his district.
