A 28-year old commercial motor rider (okada operator), Dotsey Agbanu has been murdered at Akatsi in the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region in the early hours of Tuesday, June 5, 2018.
The body of the deceased from Agbanukope was found in a pool of blood around Akatsi Anta Estate with a deep cut at the back of his neck ostensibly inflicted by his attacker(s).
The Regional Police Commander, DCOP George Tuffour who confirmed the incident to voltaonlinegh.com said the Police had a report from one David Adra from Agbanukope that an okada operator had been found dead in a pool of blood.
He said Police rushed to the scene and upon inspection, a deep cut was seen at the back of his neck.
The Police also discovered that the deceased’s motorbike was taken away by the attacker(s).
The Regional Police Commander said the body has since been deposited at the Saint Paul’s Hospital Mortuary pending autopsy while an investigation has been launched to bring the perpetrator(s) of the murder to book.
