A 28-year-old man, Frank Xenyo, is currently standing trial at the District Court 1 in Ho in connection with the suspected murder of Delali Kudzo Adovor, a respected farmer and community leader from Kpale-Xorse in the Ho West District of the Volta Region.
The tragic incident, which occurred on September 1, 2025, has sparked widespread public outrage and protest, with residents and sympathisers demanding justice for the late Mr. Adovor. The court, presided over by His Worship Albert Owusu Annor last Wednesday adjourned the case to December 18, 2025, to allow the Attorney General’s Office sufficient time to complete its investigations.
According to a report by Ho based, Global FM, members of the “Justice for Kudzo” movement, led by Bishop Goldsmith, staged a peaceful protest at the court premises during the hearing. Bishop Goldsmith described the killing as a coordinated act and urged the security agencies to pursue all those involved. He lamented the climate of fear that has engulfed the farming community of Kpale-Xorse, where residents are now hesitant to return to their farms, threatening food production in the area.

“My brother was not just a farmer—he was a voice for the voiceless,” Bishop Goldsmith stated. “We believe this was not the work of one person. The state must act decisively.”
Fred Folley, the third son of the deceased and a nursing student in Ho, also shared his distress over the impact of his father’s death on his education and family’s livelihood. “My father was our only breadwinner. With him gone, I don’t know how I’ll pay my fees. We are pleading for justice,” he said.

Frank Xenyo, who was arrested shortly after the incident, remains in custody and is expected to reappear in court on December 18, 2025.
The case continues to attract attention from civil society organisations, religious leaders, and community stakeholders, all calling for swift justice and improved security in rural communities.
