The Volta Region is the latest region to have joined the league of regions who have recorded the new Corona Virus.

This was contained in a press statement released by the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) signed by the Ag. regional Co- coordinating Prosper Afenyo.

The statement indicated that in the past two weeks, Volta Region has recorded 37 positive cases with one mortality as confirm by the Regional  Public health Management Committee.

This was a result of non compliance with the Preventive and safety protocols outline to curb the spread of the virus.

The Regional Public Health Management Committee  has advised the public to always  observe the protocol and enforce all regulations and arrest those who shall violates  the law.

Ghana  in the past week  has recorded 366 new cases bringing  the total number of active/confirm cases to 58,431, 2,174  with 358 deaths and 55,899 recoveries and discharges.
