Head Coach of VTTC, David Senyo Ahiaba who expressed optimism said,“we are grateful to God for yet another week of injury free competition. I knew the matches for the male team was going to be tough but I was hoping we will beat at least one of the teams. All is not lost yet so we will try and win more matches as the league progresses. Our ladies however, did very well by beating Otumfuo Stars and getting their 3 points. I hope this win will serve as a pilot hole for us to get to the top 3 at the end of the league.”
He also appealed to philanthropists and sports enthusiasts to support the only team from the region in cash or kind in order for the team to give off its best.
Volta has the target of first three ranking and can achieve that with motivation from all quarters. The best of 5 singles and double league action continues with week 3 at the Accra Sports Stadium next Saturday with mouthwatering fixtures.
