Management of Dzodze St Anthony’s Hospital in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region has partially Suspended healthcare services in the facility over an upsurge in Covid-19 cases in the Municipality.
According to a letter dated February 23, 2021, the decision to close down the hospital follows consultations with the Keta-Akatsi Diocesan Director of Health Services, the Ketu North Municipal Director of Health Services and other key stakeholders.
“The decision is part of measures to assure our clients of quality at the hospital and also strengthened the systems towards handling of COVID-19 patients within the Ketu North Municipality.” the statement noted
They added that, some of the positive Covid-19 patients have accessed the hospital and also received treatment from the facility during the period therefore the need to shut down to enable management take necessary measures to ensure safety of the facility.
Management further advised the general public to strictly adhere to all Covid-19 precautionary measures.
