Mrs. Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe has been appointed the Acting Volta Regional Director of Education, effective 1st April 2026. Her appointment by the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) was formally announced in a circular issued by the outgoing Regional Director, Francis Yaw Agbemadi, who is due for compulsory retirement on 31st March 2026.
Mrs. Adzroe, who was appointed Deputy Regional Director of Education in 2025, brings to the role extensive experience in educational administration. She previously served as the Regional Manager of the Evangelical Presbyterian (E.P.) Education Unit, where she distinguished herself in strengthening school supervision and policy implementation. She is also the founder of the Erijem Institute of Floral Design and Culinary Arts, an initiative that reflects her passion for vocational training and skills development.
In the circular sighted by VoltaOnline, Mr. Agbemadi urged all Municipal and District Directors of Education, Heads of Schools, staff of the Regional Directorate, and members of the various education unions and associations to extend their full cooperation and support to Mrs. Adzroe. He emphasized that such collective commitment is essential for a smooth transition and the continued effective implementation of educational policies and programmes in the Volta Region.
Mrs. Adzroe’s appointment is expected to consolidate her track record of service and innovation, providing renewed momentum for advancing educational development in the region.
