Two Directors of National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Keta and Anloga Municipalities, Mrs. Lina Bensah and Mr. Godwin Agbenyo, respectively have  inaugurated an inter-party dialogue committee to ensure that the upcoming Ghana’s general elections runs free and fairly.
The move, according to them, will help unite the political parties, security experts, the media as well as other stakeholders in the Municipality to drive at recording peaceful, free and fair elections.
Torgbui James Ocloo V, the Dufia of Keta and the Chairman for the Committee, said he will work to ensure all stakeholders play integral roles toward achieving the aims of the Committee.
He however called on the leaders of the political parties to avoid all manner of violence and abuse during the elections.
He also urged the Police, the BNI and the Media to work unanimously so as to maintain peace and order in the upcoming elections.
Reverend Noble Kukubor, a representative from the Local Council of Churches, also reiterated the need to ensure peace before and during the elections.
He said, the Local Council of Churches, have also taken strides to put peace messages across through few activities they have organized.
