Over 100 new Coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the Volta region in the last one week to push the regional case tally to 263 as at June 14 from the previous 162 cases on June 8, 2020.
The Ho and Keta municipalities as well as Anloga and Central Tongu districts contributed about half of the new cases, as they recorded an exponential jump in their respective case counts during the period.
Whereas, Ho confirmed 33 more cases to raise its tally to 95 from the previous 62, Keta jumped from a case to 12 cases, whiles Anloga and Central Tongu cases moved from 8 and 9 cases to 24 and 21 respectively.
The Ketu South municipality which was an initial hot spot of the pandemic in the region has become the district with the most recovery cases of 25 out of the 48 recoveries in the region.
Also the pandemic related fatalities have increased to four as a result of a second death recorded in the Ho municipality.
Meanwhile, the Afadzato South, North Dayi and Akatsi North are the only remaining districts out the 18 in the region yet to register a case.
