After five years of operation, Ho based digital innovation hub, Ho Node Hub (Node Hub Foundation), has rebranded to Node Eight in line with its new vision and growth strategy.
The change, according to a media release from the company on May 4, 2022, goes beyond a new name, logo, and identity.
‘The new brand name including the new identity reflects the company’s redefined strategy focused on investing in digital startups, empowering young African talents and building communities on and offline,’ the release stated.
According to a Co-founder, Brian Dzansi, “In 2017, we opened our doors in Ho with the mission to bring global and national funding opportunities, capacity-building programs in emerging digital skills, and entrepreneurship programs closer to our community. Five years on, our goal is to impact the lives of innovators and entrepreneurs across Africa with our programs and insight.”
As part of the new change, Node Eight’s priorities have also been firmed to focus on Digital Health, Green and Creative Economy. The projects and startups supported by Node Eight will provide solutions to the sustainable development goals 8, 5, 2, 4 and 3.
“Node represents a space where innovators, investors, researchers, private firms, startups, and entrepreneurs building the future of Africa intersect. At Nodeeight, innovation is sparked, and new ventures are birthed and nurtured. The Eight represents the address of the Node in the Metaverse,” explained Courage Asase, Managing Director of Node Eight.
Adding that, ‘We believe that we are better placed as an innovation hub to offer support to the varied opportunities that young people can cease. We want to be the stage that ignites the spirit of digital entrepreneurship and skills development.’
With a new Brand Purpose Statement of ‘building dream’, Node Eight, is set to continue creating opportunities for young talents in the digital innovation ecosystem.
