About 160 persons with disability in the Anloga Municipality have been celebrated by Food for All Africa, a non governmental organization.
The program, according to the Director of the NGO, Mr. Elijah Addo, seeks to unite all persons with disability (PWDs) in the Municipality in promotion of their common agenda.
Mr. Addo indicated that, most PWDs do not get the requisite care and protection needed to live meaningfully in the society.
He added that some people in various communities devalue the worth of most PWDs, stressing that the act should be condemned.
Mr. Gabriel Acolatsey, the Director in charge of the Department of Social Welfare in the Anloga Municipality reiterated the need to give maximum care to the disabled in our communities.
He said his outfit is putting up stringent measures to provide for them and urged the government to continue providing the PWDs with the common funds due them.
At least everyone went home with a bag of rice, an envelope containing money and some other food items.
