Beyond the Word Of Ministries has donated an ambulance services vehicle to Pusupu CHP Zone, a farming community in the Nkwanta South District of the Oti Region, as part of its corporate social responsibility.
According to them, their gesture is to help improve maternal and children health care and other emergency related situation in the area.
The ambulance procured, is expected to address challenges health workers and residents are facing in transporting the critically sick, especially pregnant women and children to other bigger hospital for better treatment.
At the hand-over ceremony, the director of Beyond of Ministries , Dr Sylvester Kwame Nkrumah, expressed that the vision is to improve maternal and child health care in the area.
He also noted that the organisation shall continue its support in collaboration with the Nkwanta South Municipal Health Directorate to improve the facility to meet the health demand of the people.
He therefore advised residents to take proper care of the ambulance to enable serve for its purpose.
Receiving the ambulance, the Municipal Health Director Vicent Attivor, commended the organisation for the support, saying that it will help address the health situation especially with referrer cases.
Meanwhile, Nana Obirikiti Okordea, paramount chief of the area expressed gratitude to Sylvester Nkrumah and his organisation for their contribution towards the development of the area.
He said the ambulance will curb the unforeseen deaths emergency situation.
However, the Assembly Member of Pusupu electoral area, John Mensah Jeremiah and other community members thanked the organization for the support and appealed for renovation and upgrading of the health facility to a standard to cater for their health needs.
Beyond the Word Of Ministries is an organisation that operates a radio station and water businesses in the Nkwanta South District of the Oti Region.
The aim of the organisation is to use it medium to propagate the word of God and also serve communities with portable water and other social needs for development.
