The Volta Regional Division Two Middle League has recorded five goals in Match Day One, as group A matches were honoured on Monday 6th September at Ho sports stadium.
The road to National Division One league kick-started with Akatsi All Stars beating Yadzo Oti Warriors FC, who were making their debut in the middle league by a goal to nil, in their group A opener.
New boys, Volta Rangers marked their maiden appearance in the middle league with a 4-0 victory over former division one side Roberto FC.
Volta Rangers were at their best as they demolished a 10-man Roberto FC in the second Group A match.
Number 5 shirted player of Rangers chanced upon a loose ball at the goal area of Roberto FC to put the new boys ahead in the 21st minute, Rangers made it two in the 28th minute through number 11 shirted player.
However, Roberto FC had a chance to score a consolation goal in the 30th minute but miss from the spot. The first half ended with 3-goals advantage to Rangers as they score in the 42nd minute.
After recess, Rangers continued from where they left in the first half, piling more pressure on Roberto FC. Four minutes from time, Volta Rangers found the back of the net again and registered their fourth goal on the day.
Deep into time added on, number 20 shirted player of Roberto FC was sent off as he saw a second yellow card.
