Exhibitors at the 6th Edition of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair have expressed gratitude to the organizers for a successful event. They conveyed their appreciation in interviews with Volta Online.
Miriam Seidu from Syldem Company Limited, a vendor of Noni Drinks, Brown Rice, and Noni juice, mentioned that their sales had doubled over the two-week fair. She emphasised the need for the fair to be organized twice a year to showcase Volta to the rest of the world.
Esther Pearl Akoto, of Dzifa Smocks and Clothes, acknowledged that while there was low patronage on her side, she successfully created new business platforms, met people, and exchanged contacts with other businesses in and around the region. She appealed to the organizers to schedule the fair on dates that do not coincide with the festive season.
The 6th Edition of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair, which commenced on Sunday, November 26, officially ended on Sunday, December 2023. The event was organized by the Association of Ghana Industries in partnership with the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, and other public and private sector partners.
This year’s fair featured various seminars, including the Women Summit, Tourism, Creative Art and Culture Forum, Workshop on Agriculture, District and Municipal Days, Sports Summit, and Youth Entrepreneurship Summit. The theme for the 6th Edition of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair was “Leveraging on the African Continental Free Trade Area for Economic Development.”
Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, the Volta Regional Minister, described the fair as very successful and expressed appreciation to all sponsors and partners for contributing to the revival of the economy and promoting the unique cultural heritage of the Volta Region.
