The Accra Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service says it has secured a restraining order against the National Democratic Congress(NDC) from protesting  and demonstrating henceforth in the country’s capital, Accra.

In a statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police and Head of Public Affairs Unit/AR, Effia Tenge, the order prevents the NDC from protesting from December 20 to January 10, 2021.

“In a matter between the Republic (Ghana Police Service) and National Democratic Congress and Kobina Ade Coker, the High Court, under Justice Elfreda Amy Dankyi (Mrs.), has prohibited all NDC intended protests from Sunday 20th December, 2020 – 10th January, 2012” the statement said.
