Some traders in the Keta Municipality have called on government to take swift actions to rectify the instability of the Cedi against the CFA.
This according to them, has made trading unprofitable in the municipality for the past few months.
Mrs. Sogbaka Augusta, one of the traders in the municipality who sells home appliances explained that, the instability of the Ghana Cedis has caused them a lot to the extent of dwindling their businesses.
She said they no longer get the purported profits after sales, accounting to decline in interest to continue trading adding that, closure of the borders have also added to their plight.
Mrs. Sogbaka further observed that, most traders get their goods from Togo at low costs but for the borders closure, they now travel to Accra to buy their goods at high costs.
She therefore pleaded with government to put in quick measures to stabilize the Ghana Cedi so as to secure their trading activities in the municipality and the region at large.
