The deputy minister of the ministry of Trade and Industry Hon. Ahonkah Lindsay expressed certainty that Ghana stands to benefit immensely from the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement with its rich natural resources.
He noted that Ghana will be positioned as the hub for trade and export in Africa as well as promote Ghana as an attractive investment destination and actively promote foreign investments.
Mr. Ahonkah noted that Ghana would have the opportunity as the secretariat to hold regional and continental meetings and other events under AfCFTA bringing together investors, tourists among others from the African and non-African countries to Ghana which will boost the tourism, transport, hospitality and other sectors of the economy.
