Mahama’s ‘Thank You’ tour train lands in Volta

The nationwide ‘Thank You’ tour of the National Democratic Congress’ 2020 flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama is set to make a stop-over in the Volta region on Monday.

The one-day visit, would afford the former President  the opportunity to interact with various stakeholders in the  party’s stronghold after his defeat in the December 2020 Presidential elections.

A release from the Regional Secretatiat  of the NDC, said the visit was to extend the appreciation of Mr. Mahama and the NDC to ‘our revered Traditional Rulers and the good People of the Volta Region for their massive support during the 2020 general elections despite the discrimination and militarization of the Volta Region by President Nana Addo’s led NPP government.’

It added that, the former flagbearer’s entourage will include, ‘his Running Mate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman and General Secretary respectively, National Executives and Other Party Stalwarts from the region.’

Below is the full itinerary of the former President

1. (8:00AM – 9:00AM) Live Radio Interview at Global FM (to be hooked on other radio stations in the region);

2. (9:30AM – 10:30AM) Courtesy call on the Agbogbomefia, Togbe Afede XIV, and the Asogli Traditional Council at the Asogli Secretariat, Ho.

3. (11:00AM -12:00PM) Interaction with Religious Leaders at Dela Cathedral, Ho Kpodzi.

4. (12:30PM – 1:30PM) Visit to the residence of the late Comrade Courage Worlasi Danku, to commiserate with the family and sign the book of condolence in memory of the late Deputy Regional Youth Organizer at Sokode Gbagble.

5. (3:00PM – 4:30PM) Meeting with Party Stakeholders at the G.M. Afeti Auditorium, Ho Technical University.
