[VIDEO] Flood Waters Plunge Salon Car with Three Occupants into Storm Drain

Three persons were trapped in a Toyota Salon car when the vehicle got plunged into a storm drain during a downpour in Ho Thursday afternoon.

The driver, according eyewitnesses attempted to maneuver the vehicle through flood waters on the bridge near Amegashie house, along the OLA Traffic intersection – Market road, but got over powered by the high current, resulting in the accident.

The occupants were however rescued by some ‘brave’ onlookers, who handed them over to the Ambulance Service for onward transportation to the hospital.

A team of personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service were also at the scene to retrieve the vehicle from the drain.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Prosper Pi-Bansah has toured some parts of the municipality to assess the aftermath of the torrential rains, which flooded several areas as well.
