The Oti region has confirmed four more cases of the corona virus pandemic, few days after joining the league of COVID-19 positive regions in the country with 13 cases at-a-go.
The region’s case count now stands at 17, while that of the Volta region remains at 10, according to latest update published by the Ghana Health Service on Sunday.
Two of the four new cases per information gathered by Volta Online, were workers of a construction firm, working on a road project in the Jasikan area.
At the National level, the case count now stood at 1,550, with 11 deaths and 155 recoveries. The Greater Accra region still tops the 12-member table with 1,347 cases and the North East region being the lowest with two cases.
According to the Health Service, a total of 100,622 sample tests have been done across the various testing centres across the country including the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research and the Kumasi Center for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine.
Meanwhile, four regions, namely, Savanna, Bono, Ahafo and Bono East are still keeping a clean sheet on the pandemic.
