CWSA CEO Donates Towards COVID-19 fight in Central Tongu

The Chief Executive Officer of Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA), Ing. Worlanyo Siabi has donated sets of hand washing apparatus to support the fight against the Corona virus pandemic in the Central Tongu district.

The items comprising, Veronica Buckets with Metal Stands, Hand Sanitizers, Collection bowls and medicated soaps were presented to some Community Base Health Planning Services (CHPS) Compounds in the Central Tongu District.

Speaking about the gesture, Mr. Siabi said the items were his personal contributions towards the COVID-19 fight in rural communities, as they could be easily forgotten in periods like this.

According to him, “We all have roles to play as Ghanaians in the fight against COVID-19. Even though my organisation Community Water and Sanitation Agency is also spearheading the fight in Ghana, personally, I feel I can also play my part by doing little donations to the health centres in the rural Communities”

 “Another important place we are donating these items to includes the Chief’s palaces”. They receive a lot of visitors each day, and they need these items to Cushing themselves and their guests against COVID-19.” He added.

Receiving the items on behalf of the health centres, the Central Tongu District Health Director, Madam Justine Alornyo expressed her gratitude to the Mr. Siabi and assured to make good use of the items.

“We are very grateful for this gesture, and we are also very please for targeting out CHPS Zones, these items will go a long way to protect our health workers against COVID-19.

The beneficiary facilities include Mafi Sasekpe CHPS Zone, Mafi Adalekpe CHPS zone, Mafi Agoe, Mawoekpor Health Center, Mafi Seva CHPS Zone, Mafi Adidome CHPS Zone, Bakpa CHPS zone, and Adidome Government Hospital.

Others also include Adidome Senior High School Clinic, Adidome Chiefs’ palace, Mafi Dadoegbe Chief’s Palace and the District Police Command.
